Metz, France – in the northeastern part of the country – is home to the Wolff family’s artisanal coffee roaster. The family business dates back more than 60 years. Coffee growers from around the world would market their beans at the port of Metz. Claude – along with his father and grandfather – would evaluate the beans, selecting only the best for their blend.
In mid-2011, Claude used his expertise to create a blend specifically for Café de Paris. The blend is a custom combination of beans from around the world: Ethiopia on Africa’s East Coast, Costa Rica in the heart of Central America, and Colombia on South America’s northeast coast. Claude partnered with two local engineers to design a roasting facility that met Claude and his family’s high standards.
